Automated installation

Postby Webergy » Mon Nov 16, 2015 5:52 pm

Hey guys,

do you got some kind of batch that installs a keyboard created with your software? That would be great if we wouldn't have to install it manually on each tablet going out.

Tnx, Thore

The Designer includes the Inno Setup library to create the installer.

Select the Install node and the Package tab. Fill in the file information and set Replace to Desktop only.

Click on the Registry tab and add two lines. Select <Current file> as the file name.

Then compile it on the Compile tab.

The exe file is stored in the keyboard folder. Input this in the Explorer address bar to access it: %programdata%\chessware\Touch-It

Thank you. Did what you said. The result is an exe. Installing the exe on a tablet leads to the following error: "Touch-IT Virtual Keyboard not found! Please install Touch-IT first and retry. Installation aborted!".

What we need is one exe to do it all. Is there any way to get that? And I hope we do not have to pay a license fee for each tablet?

Tnx, Thore

In the Package tab, just tick the Include the Touch-It installer check box.
And yes, you need to purchase one license per tablet.

Ok, so before I continue I need to know the license costs for around 5000 tablets... Pls send offer via eMail.

Tnx, Thore
